Covered California’s Open Enrollment period for 2018 coverage ends on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Some consumers may face challenges completing enrollment by the deadline and Covered California is committed to helping all consumers cross the enrollment finish line. Covered California is allowing consumers who attempted to enroll by the January 31 deadline an extra two days to complete enrollment and select their health plan.

Between February 1 and midnight on February 2 consumers may seek assistance from Certified Insurance Agents to complete their Open Enrollment application.  909-656-4885 Agents will have the ability to complete and submit consumer applications during this extended period. Any applications submitted during our Cross the Finish Line effort will have a coverage effective date of March 1, 2018.

Please note: During the Cross the Finish Line efforts, the consumer service center’s extended hours of operation on February 1 and 2 is from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Covered California expects to see a surge of consumers seeking assistance for enrollment support through Find Local Help after 8:00 p.m. on February 1 and 2. During this time, please ensure you are responsive and able to assist consumers.

Now Available: IRS Form 1095-A Tool Kit

By January 31, 2018, consumers will receive their annual Health Insurance Marketplace Statement, also known as IRS Form 1095-A, along with instructions on how to use the form. The form is generated for each household enrolled in a Covered California Health Plan, regardless of whether or not Advance Premium Tax Credit (APTC) was applied.
